Nothing is recorded. Each click is built on the spot from its own number — twelve families of click, and just over a million ways to set one up. No two are identical, plenty are close, and the library weighs nothing because there is no library.
Practise along to a shore, a fairground, an arcade or a room with a record on. Written by the app as it plays, so it never loops back to where you heard it start.
Beats are scheduled ahead against the audio clock, not the screen. Change the tempo, open a panel, take a screenshot — the click does not flinch.

Yes. The metronome is free on iPhone and Android, with one small line of text advertising. Plus removes it and unlocks every skin, the extra time signatures and the soundtracks. Desktop is a separate one-off purchase, not part of the subscription.
Completely. Every click and every soundtrack is generated on the device rather than downloaded, so there is nothing to stream and nothing to wait for. The only thing that needs a connection is the advert in the free tier, and its absence does not stop anything.
Neither. There is no sign-up, no microphone access, no camera and no location. The app declares internet access and nothing else.

Yes. It is rated for all ages, collects nothing about the person using it, and has no chat, no leaderboards and no randomised purchases. The only things for sale are the subscription and the skins, and both go through the normal store confirmation.
